Legendary cricket broadcaster Henry Blofeld takes viewers on a delightful journey through contemporary cricket, intertwining his reflections on the great games of the past with insights into the sport’s evolution.
With over five decades of involvement in cricket, Blofeld has witnessed its transformation to a globally recognised sport. He acknowledges the influence of franchises and the increasing number of international matches, while also acknowledging the challenges facing the sport in the present.
Throughout the show, Blofeld explores the significant transformations, innovations, and challenges that have shaped cricket in recent years. He shares his life and career experiences, recounting cherished memories of his beloved sport. Blofeld’s journey in cricket writing began in May 1962 when he started contributing to The Times. In 1972, he embarked on his illustrious career as a commentator with the BBC’s Test Match Special. Throughout his career, he has written for various publications and broadcast on radio and television for numerous networks worldwide, particularly in Australia and New Zealand.
