Sir Derek Jacobi, an icon of stage and screen, has achieved remarkable success in the entertainment industry. Renowned for his work at the esteemed Royal National Theatre, he has garnered numerous accolades, including a BAFTA, Olivier, Emmy, Screen Guild, and Tony Award. To top it all off, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his outstanding contributions to theatre.
With peers such as Ian McKellen and Trevor Nunn; Derek is a founding member of the National Theatre and was invited to be a member of the Birmingham Rep. Derek is an enormous talent with Shakespeare running through his blood and having starred in almost every Shakespearian play, notably in ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Othello’, two of the greats.
Over the past six decades, Derek has become a beloved figure in the film industry, gracing the big screen with his performances in numerous blockbuster hits. Some of his notable works include ‘I, Claudius’, ‘Gladiator I’ and ‘Gladiator II’, ‘Last Tango in Halifax’, ‘The Crown’, ‘The Day of the Jackal’, ‘Nanny McPhee’, ‘Gosford Park’, and ‘The King’s Speech’. Additionally, his audiobook work, particularly his narration of ‘The Night Garden’ for the BBC children’s series, has been a massive success.

Richard Clifford, an accomplished actor and director, has graced the silver screen in renowned films like ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, ‘Love’s Labour’s Lost’, ‘Frankenstein’, and ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, all directed by the esteemed Kenneth Branagh. He has also lent his talents to television series such as ‘The Crown’ and ‘It’s A Sin’. Additionally, his theatrical credits include performances in ‘Amadeus’ at Chichester and ‘Henry V’ in the West End. Over the past two and a half decades, Richard has been the driving force behind productions at Washington’s Folger Shakespeare Theatre.
