Will Stanley inspire Queen of the Jungle Toff to go into politics?
Well I’ve heard it all now. No sooner had I’m A Celebrity… winner Georgia “Toff” Toffolo been crowned Queen of the Jungle last night than the British tabloid press were tipping her as a future Conservative MP.
The 23-year-old Made in Chelsea star was previously best known for a her allegiance to a different sort of party - the kind that finds you dancing the night away.
But after weeks of proving that she’s a dab hand at surviving among pits of snakes and all manner of slime she is being seen as a natural politician.
The unlikely friendship that developed with fellow jungle inmate Stanley Johnson - former MEP and father off Boris - can only help.
That ever reliable media contact “an insider” even told the Daily Star: "Georgia would be a perfect candidate for Parliament as she is the young, vibrant face of the future… "She has the full package - intellect, charm, looks.”
Meanwhile, speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Toff revealed that her jungle discussions with Stanley had given her plenty of food for thought.
“Actually, having Stanley in there has really made me think about things. We were talking about causes that I'd never even considered - environmental conservation, GM... I am still letting everything sink in but I hope that I can use this to help and do good.”
So keep an eye out for Toff being fast-tracked into a suitable by-election. Yes I know it’s unlikely, not least because she’s also being tipped to receive at least £5 million worth of offers for telly work but stranger things have happened.
