We are happy to share the wonderful news that Archbishop Desmond Tutu has been discharged from hospital in Cape Town after spending six nights under medical supervision,
The 88 year old Nobel Peace Prize winning campaigner for social justice has been battling prostate cancer for more than two decades and has undergone several bouts of hospital treatment in recent years.
Now the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation say that, after receiving treatment for a persistent infection, he has been allowed home.
Though Tutu now lives in retirement he has made several makes public appearances recently including welcoming the World Cup-winning South African Rugby team when they returned to South Africa last month.
And in September he greeted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they visited with their baby Archie.
It is understood that the veteran anti-apartheid campaigner is now under strict instruction to rest.
