It's a Welsh date for Rev Kate

TV’s Reverend Kate Bottley will be presenting her own  An Audience with… show in the Welsh town of Blackwood next week.

She has an intriguing story to tell. For Kate is the priest from North Nottinghamshire who in 2012 was part of a wedding flashmob video which went viral with over seven million hits on YouTube. This led to her role as one of the regular presenters on Channel 4's hit series Gogglebox.

She is also often seen on the BBC's Songs of Praise and presented In The Footsteps of Judas, a flagship Easter documentary for BBC 1.

 Kate is also a frequent contributor to the Pause for Thought feature on Chris Evans' Radio 2 Breakfast Show, for which she was awarded a Jerusalem Award in 2016. She also fronted the BBC Radio 2 documentary Believing in Beauty.

In addition she has has written for a variety of newspapers and magazines including The Guardian, The Independent and the Radio Times and you will recently have seen or on Celebrity Master Chef and supporting her friend and fellow celebrity cleric Rev Richard Coles on Strictly Come Dancing.

Kate is currently taking a break from full-time parish ministry, but will continue to take church services and officiate at weddings and funerals as part of a wider remit which will include writing and broadcasting projects.
