Enjoy an evening of mirth, memories and fine comedy as Syd Little and Bob Carolgees remember their showbiz careers and the many stars they've met along the way with hosts Scott Wright or Nick Cochrane. In between the chat Syd and Bob will step up to the mic with some of the jokes and routines that have made them audience favourites for over 40 years.
Syd has been in show business for over 50 years, he is one half of the popular TV double act Little and Large, mostly playing the role as the straight man foil to the comic Eddie Large. The double act won Opportunity Knocks in 1971. Many TV shows and summer seasons later, this led to their hugely successful shows on ITV & the BBC from 1977 to 1991. At it’s peak The Little and Large Show gained 25 million viewers, Recently Syd has appeared on numerous TV shows and has been a contestant on this year's Celebrity Masterchef.
Bob Carolgees is best known as the puppet master to Spit the dog and Charlie the monkey. Bob first appeared on TV in a guest spot on Tiswas in 1979, eventually becoming a regular presenter on the show. He was the first performer to entertain troops during the Falklands war and has now been performing for British and UN Forces for over 30 years including visits to the first Gulf war and Balkans conflicts. More recently he has made many appearances on Phoenix Nights and other Peter Kay TV shows and pop videos with Spit the dog.
Event hosts will either be Scott Wright or Nick Cochrane both of whom will be well known to fans of Coronation Street
